What I help with

When the business has outgrown the way it works.

Most operational problems are not solved by buying another app. First work out where time, data and responsibility are getting lost. Then simplify the process and use the lightest technology that genuinely improves it.

Systems integration & APIs

Connect CRM, finance, operations, websites, databases and specialist software so information moves once.

Internal tools & custom software

When off-the-shelf products do not fit, build the smallest useful tool around the actual workflow.

How it works

Start with the expensive bottleneck.

No platform pitch. No predetermined technology stack. The work starts with one process that is wasting time, creating errors, slowing customers down or making the team dependent on spreadsheets and workarounds.

Map

Understand the current process, systems, people, data and failure points.

Measure

Identify where time, money or reliability is being lost and what actually matters.

Redesign

Simplify the workflow before adding automation, integration or custom software.

Implement

Build, connect or configure the solution and measure whether the process improved.

Systems & Operations Review

One important workflow. Mapped properly. Clear recommendations. No commitment to a larger project.

  • Current workflow and bottlenecks
  • Manual work, duplication and avoidable risk
  • What to simplify, automate, integrate or rebuild
  • Technology-agnostic recommendation
  • Prioritised implementation plan and indicative costs

Why me

Technical enough to build it. Commercial enough to question whether it should be built.

The useful question is rarely “which tool should we buy?” It is “why does this process take so long, and what is the simplest reliable way to fix it?”

I have worked across software development, APIs, SaaS, e-commerce, technical leadership, business operations and client delivery. That means I can move from the operational problem to the technical solution without treating either side as somebody else’s job.

Common problems

Good businesses, bad workarounds.

If any of these sound familiar, there is probably a process worth reviewing before you buy another subscription.

“We enter the same data three times.”

Integration and workflow redesign can remove re-keying and keep systems in sync.

“Only one person knows how this works.”

Turn fragile knowledge into a clear process supported by the right system.

“We’ve got software everywhere, but nothing joins up.”

Map the system landscape, remove duplication and connect the useful parts.

FAQ

Before we talk

Do you only work with businesses in Devon?

No. I am based in Plymouth and work with businesses across the UK. Discovery and much of the implementation can be handled remotely.

Are you an AI automation consultancy?

No. AI is one tool among many. If an API, a simpler workflow, an existing feature or a small internal application is a better answer, that is what I will recommend.

Do I need to know what technology I want?

No. In most cases that decision should come after the process has been understood.

Can you build the solution as well as recommend it?

Yes, where the solution matches my technical capability. Where specialist expertise is required, I can define the solution clearly before implementation is commissioned.

One process is enough

Start with the thing everyone complains about.

Tell me which process wastes the most time, causes the most errors or depends on the most manual effort.
